The vernix caseosa will help your baby travel through the birth canal when it is time for delivery.  Your baby's eyes are open during waking time.  Since your baby's immune system is still maturing, it is still receiving antibodies from you.   Your baby weighs about five pounds and five ounces.  Kicks seem less frequent but are quite strong.  It may be possible to see the imprint of a foot through your skin near the end of your pregnancy.  Your little one will now start gaining eight to twelve ounces a week!

By now, you can sit down and place a cup on the top of your belly!  But watch out, a good kick and the cup will go sailing!
