Your baby is red and thin with wrinkled skin, yet your baby is beautiful and
an absolute wonder. Your baby's head is much more in proportion to the
body, with the arms and legs having about the same amount of muscle. Your
baby's bones are beginning to harden in the center. By now, your baby's
genitals are clear, so you probably know the sex by now if that is your choice.
Your uterus is being pushed against the rib cage as your baby grows.
You may feel discomfort from this, as well as more heartburn from the baby
pushing against your stomach. Your uterine muscle is stretching, which may
cause mild discomfort as well. Warm baths may soothe the aches and pains -
but keep the bath water at a safe temperature, as hot water is not good for your
baby. For this same reason, a woman should never use a hot tub while
she is expecting.
