What a wonderful way to nurture your nesting instinct! Packing for the
hospital is a wonderful sign of things to come. A woman's birthing
experience is as unique as her baby. What is important for one expectant
mother may not have meaning for another. As you pack, think of what makes
you comfortable and what is most important to you. Most likely in all the
excitement, you won't touch half of the things you bring to the hospital.
But when you reach for that one thing that sounds perfect to you, you certainly
want it to be there!

You will be provided with a few things for you and your baby in the hospital.
Bassinettes usually have drawers that will contain items for your baby.
These can include a hat, hospital baby blanket, pacifier, suction bulb
and diapers. Your hospital may send Mom home with large sanitary pads and
one or two cold packs for your vaginal area. You may be given a squeeze
bottle to be used for warm water cleansing after visiting the bathroom.
