Give your Baby or Child Eye Drops
Do you have to give your baby prescription eye drops? Or has your doctor told you that your child’s pink eye requires drops? Then you have probably already experienced the struggle if not fight to get eye drops in your child’s eyes. But there is an easier way!
The next time your need to give your child eye drops, lay him or her down on the back. If your child is older, tell him to close his eyes. If it is an infant, just lay her down on her back. Now, let the drops flow into the corner of the eyes, along the bridge of the nose. Do both sides, and with the older child, tell him to open his eyes. The drops will naturally flow into the eyes. With the infant, just try to gently hold the baby’s head steady, and if you need to, carefully raise the eyelid so the drops move into the eyes.
